Lakefront Bargain Hunt “– where real-life folks go in search of a lakeside retreat or vacation home at an affordable price. Dreams of living on the dock of the bay can come true, even on the tightest budget. We show home seekers how to find the lakefront property of their dreams without breaking the bank. Each week we help a family discover an affordable location that proves you don’t need a boatload of cash to live on the lake.– According to the HGTV website .
The premise of the show is to help home seekers find the lakefront home of their dreams without breaking the bank. “Lakefront Bargain Hunt” takes viewers behind the scenes as individuals look at different homes on a lake and decide which home is meant for them. Focusing on the emotional experience of finding and purchasing a lake home, each episode shows the process as buyers search for a home. “Part of the audition process was not only selling the HGTV producers on doing an episode featuring Lake Greenwood, we also had to convince them that our town was TV worthy, and we had to make sure we had the right buyer for the show. Jonathan Wiley said “In the end, they thought the lake and the area was perfect and they chose our clients to be the featured buyers on the episodes.” Since Jonathan worked directly with each of the buyer clients, he is featured on the show.
“I am still beside myself. We are so excited to be a part of something that we feel could have a huge positive impact on Greenwood and all the counties surrounding Lake Greenwood. As a lifetime resident of the little town of Greenwood, I never dreamed that I would get the opportunity to be a part of a national TV show. This will be a great story for our children and for generations to come. Thanks to HGTV, everyone will see firsthand what we do on a daily basis here on Lake Greenwood. It will be captured on film forever.” Tonya Wiley says.
